Major Attractions in Palavayal
Puligom Forest
Go for a morning stroll to watch butterflies, birds, tree bount animals like Malabar giant squirrels. If you are lucky may encounter dears and wild elephants.
Kottenchery Hills
It is a level 3 & 4 trekking track to Kottenchery plains and peaks. You can also follow the elephant tracks and take a dip in cascading white water streams
Tejaswini
Tejaswini is a beautiful river bordering three districts viz.-Kannur, Kasargod, and Coorg, Karnataka, and many small streams constitute the headwaters of the river. The Thejaswani River takes all the goodness of the rainforest of the Western Ghats along with it.
Kmmadam Kavu
Arguable the largest Secret Groves in India is a must visit place if you are travelling to Kerala. The beautiful Temple and 60 acres of less explored forest and stream in the middle is rich in Flora and fauna. Rare specious of Trees, sherbs and herbs are seen here.
Ranipuram Hills
At almost 2,460 feet above sea level atop a cliff, you feel you are on top of the world, quite literally! As you sit on the hill ranges of the Western Ghats, relishing a local homemade lunch packed in plantain leaf, as an adventure lover.
Alex Falls
It is a private waterfall surrounded by rocks, trees, and bamboos. It is very close to the forest. This fall is a force of nature, both beautiful and soothing. Trekking down and taking a bath in the Alex Falls is rejuvenating
Mundhari
Trekking and off-roading through the dense forest road to Mundari itself is a great expedition. The noisy Thejaswani River will accompany you in this adventure zig-zagging through the dense forest. Visitors can stay in Tents and Mud houses amid coffee plantations, surrounded by misty mountain ranges.
Tabor
Beautiful cool, windy hills and grasslands over the top is an exclusive property. Camp in tents and stay overnight to watch the star-studded sky in the night. Colorful sunrise and set over the mountains are fabulous visual treats.
